Need a tip

Any tips on how to avoid stringy glue when putting a dab of glue on a toothpic (what I’m using) and trying to apply it to a part? I get this flowing string of thin glue trailing all over the place. Any way to avoid this?

Tube glue yuck!!. Go and buy yourself a bottle of liquid cement. You wont get the string and it will last for a very long time. Im not really sure if there is a technique to avoiding the stringy bits but if there is one of our guys will tell you soon. [:)][:)][:D][:p]

Thanks for the quick reply. Liguid cement, eh? Is that how it’s done these days? I guess it’s been too long since I’ve done this. When I was a kid it was tube glue. Or at least I thought that’s all there really was.

I may even have some liquid cement. I’ll check.

Thanks again.

get the liquid but if ur stubborn (like me) and u wanna use the tube, put it on teh pick and if you get the string swirl it around the toothpick, and maybe just maybe itll get off…but do it quick b4 the glue dries!!!

Simply take a sharp X-acto knife and place it next to the toothpick as you apply the glue, when you pull the toothpick up the glue string will stick to the blade.(you dont have use an X-acto knife, thats just what I use)Happy gluing!
