I need a little help. I recently acquired a 1/48 scale DC-3 on ebay and it just arrived today. Unfortunately the kit is missing the interior side wall part #81. The seller has offered to refund the money but I would really like to build this kit. Does anybody out there have a beater DC-3 in 1/48 that I might be able to salvage this part from? Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve helped out a couple fellow modellers there and lucked out myself. The DC-3 kit wasn’t released too long ago. Shouldn’t be too hard to get a response.

If you are looking for the part off the old Monogram Eastern Airlines DC-3, I just looked and I have it. I could probably try and make you a resin casting (not something I have done, but something I am more than willing to try) if you want. Feel free to email me if you like.
Congrats too - that is a nice kit of the most beautiful airplane to ever ply the skies. I have it from years ago and am holding it for when I learn how to spray a good NMF.

Apperciate the help guys but I have located the part with another modeler and will have a complete kit shortly.
Mike, try using Alclad2, there is a tutorial on my site and it is very easy to get great results with it. This bird will be done with the Austin Airways livery out of Canada - all yellow.
