Navy Air Museum

The Blue Angels finish their show season this week. They will return to Pensacola next week and perform a homecoming show rumored to be better than their road shows. I will be there taking pictures. I am also going to spend at least a day in the museum. If there is anything you would like a picture of, I will try to take it.

Everything.

Getting a 32 gb card for the trip.

yea what stikpusher said!

The last ship that I was stationed before my discharge from the Navy in 1976, was the USS Lexington. She was the Navy’s training carrier in those days and Pensacola was her homeport. The Blue Angels did all of their carrier qualifications on her and also would practice their routines using Lex as their focal point. They were flying Skyhawks then. I never saw one miss the three wire on landing and never got bored watching their practices. Fun times.

They are at Wings Over Houston this weekend…so this is their last performance if the season? That’s cool bum looking forward to them, the Raptor, and Phantom.

I hesitate to ask, but, I only have one pic of their Ryan NR-1, I was concentrating on the Jenny on our last trip there

If you have time and etc,if you could get a few shots of the landing gear detail, I would appreciate it

otherwise, just enjoy the practice show, the tram to the resto shop (if you get there early enough) , and the new building,I haven’t been down there since that new wing opened up
