Did you guys see last months National Geographic? There is a disturbing photo of a white shark launching out of the water getting ready to snatch a navy PD off a ladder from under a blackhawk(?) in San Francisco Bay. The photo is a hoaxed composite of two seperate shots but the diorama possibilities are staggering.
What sort of helo is used for navy air/sea rescue operations? I gotta do this diorama!
Yeah, I saw that photo too… Its clearly a fake, but cool lookin nonetheless. The helo is an MH-60G Pave Hawk in USAF colors. Its not Navy. The Navy has several different versions of the Seahawk though. SH-60B/F were the first variants. Not sure what they’re up to now. The Coast Guard operates the HH-60J Jayhawk.
