Hello.

Happy New Year!

This is my first post to this great forum.

I’m subscribed to it sins 2010 but never had a chance to start building a complicated model or precipitate till now because of my busy schedule. So far I have builded Santa Maria –Italery ship kit and 1:24 Trabant car for friends. My interest is in WWII armor and dioramas BUT:

One day I’ve got e-mail with discounts for 1/500 ships and start looking over them. Then found couple of building threads till I saw Nagato 1/350 builded by Firedeck. Fell in love with it

Did some research and bought the kit, some PE and wooden deck

I’ll build it slowly because of my 20 fish tanks. Here is the progress till now.

Your Nagato is looking good.

Your Nagato is looking good, but I recommend filling in those CAD lines on the outer hull. They do not represent plates; they were left on by mistake by Hasagawa.

I filled them everywhere where the red hull paint is, except at the front. I wasn’t able to find info which line to hide and which one to leave as they are.

Everyone one of them should be filled. They do not correspond to any of the hull plate detail one the real ship.Hasegawa used a Computer Assisted Design to help with the molds, but mistakenly left them unerased before the tooling took place.

I would hate to see your wonderful work spoiled by leaving that detail flaw.
