I am convinced that the finish on your models is far superior to that on the originals - which were were built much more hurridly and with less care. However you have also acheived to a large degree that atmosphere - clearly you have a good feel for the whole aspect of finishing so frankly don’t bother with an AB until you have evrything else!!! Years ago a I did a bit of judging for flying scale models and a “realistic” finish was the most difficult tfeature to acheive.

About your Canterbury Squadron P-51 - thats the aircraft that was once a part of the Alpine Fighter Collection right? Who owns it now? Last year I did a real botch job on an Auckland TAF P-51 (Airfix again!!), and am looking for decals (in 1/48) for the Canterbury aircraft with that red spinner. Thats what happens to expat Cantabrians [;)]

cossack, that cantabury TAF Mustang is now based at Ardmore aerodrome in Auckland. It is privatly owned, and sits outside the warbirds hangar along with 3-4 harvards all day long and gets talked about by all the retired returned service men. I don’t know who owns it, but it doesn’t fly often.
This kit is a special release, Trevor bringans ltd in NZ did a whole range of different RNZAF aircraft, i’ve just called them and they no longer have them, you could call them and ask for the 1/48 decals if they are available.
