This is my first post in this forum, so if is the wrong place sorry…
This is Trumpeter 1/350 kit of DKM Bismarck, that was armed two years ago. Now, was refitted, painted with model master and humbrol enamel, airbrush and drybrush finishing.
The model was with many damage of “homeworkers”, many pieces lost or broken, so the process take more than 3 months of hard work, I added banister (Bruja Models), scratch pieces (catapult, radar and FLAK) and heavy rebuild.
ahhh das boot! Bristling all nice and ready to blast!
Very nice! Good to see a ship appear after all this time. I just love those old turret-boats!
Currently wishing to set aside a few dollars for the latest HMS Hood kit out there… As opposed to the Lindberg I have sitting in its box… all lonely, but I just can’t bring myself to work it.
In this corner of the world, nowadays we have Trumpeter Hood (1/350), but very expensive yet. I will stay, waiting a best price or I will change of scale or branch… (Heller, before that disappear)
My eyes once turned towards the Heller Hood kit (Which has recently been reboxed by Airfix, like the Heller Bismarck/ Tirpitz, KGV, & Scharnhorst/ Gneisenau kits, which will hopefully result in them remaining available for a bit longer)
The Heller kit is cheap, but I thought that it had too much wrong with it & decided at the time to wait for the ICM 1/350 release, which eventually never happened. I’m mighty grateful for Trumpeter comming to the rescue. I haven’t got around to starting mine yet & have only inspected the box contents, but am very impressed with it. I would say that it is one worth saving a bit longer for.
