My two latest completions a pair of P-51's

The first is the P-51D Flown by BGEN Robert Lee Scott while he commanded the jetfighter pilot training school in 1949. Kit is the Fujimi kit. Interior and landing gear are from Monogram kit. Decals are off the sheet from the ipms nationals.

The second is the P-51B Flown by Capt. Robert M. Barkey. Kit is Tamiya pretty much OOTB just added seat belts and drop tanks from Hasegawa kit. Decals are from Superscale.

Looks great! I really like the gold in the first one. What paint did you use for it?

Thanks for sharing.

Great looking Mustangs! I love the gold markings on the D model, very cool. Can you remember who produced the decal sheet. Thanks for sharing,

Darren.

Hi ya mkhoot

Hey those are a swell looking pair of Mustangs … I really like the D model … the gold looks great on this bird. Thanks so much for sharing … [swg]

Nice job on both !
We seem to be inundated with Checkertail Mustangs lately, but there can NEVER be enough !
Well done !

Very very nice builds, a great team of horses. Long live the Checkertail Clan!

Really nice stangs, I like them a lot

Both those pony’s are real thoroghbreds. The decal work and paint are both top notch. Thanks for sharing with us. Semper Fi, mike

Thanks for your comments guys. I really enjoyed building these. The gold paint on the P-51D is the Tamiya gold spray the decals were done by TwoBobs for the IPMS USA 2004 nat. convention.

Very nice job on both stangs

OMG…
MORE MUSTANGS!!
Probably the most modelled fighter ever - or maybe that’s the 109…
You gotta love them - they’re about the most beautiful thing that ever had wings…
And I love the B with the Checkertail - that looks great.
The D is a very interesting livery - I’ve never seen gold on a P-51 like that. Pretty cool.
Well done on the builds mate - and keep up the good work.
