nice build joe!
Am I seeing blood on that fig?
fightnjoe…the Sherman looks great, well done…you may well of inspired me to do something with tracks sometime…after I get caught up with my group builds.
yes but dont say anything. i am trying to do it tastefully.
thankyou for the kindness.
joe
Coming along nicely. Is that the Italeri kit?
A very nice Sherman, thanks for the peek…
This should be an interesting dio Joe. You don’t see many Pacific subjects much in the armor forum. Good build on your Shermie.
[:D] Joe,your sherm look great and the figure, well what can i say.[:D]
Nice work, Joe!
I like the camo.
Hope your guy’s OK!
thanks all. the kit is the italeri 1/35 usmc m4. i will let more out on this in the next update.
thankyou for the kindness.
joe
Hey Joe, your jar lid looks great, as does the Sherman. [;)]
Thanks for the update Fightnjoe. On the tank: Lookin great. The weathering toned down the bright silver. On the figures: Your right it’s a risk but in order to do justice to an Okinawa scene. Most people will relate, especially vets. I think you’ll do fine with it.
again i thankyou for your kind words. this dio is going to be the most indepth build to date for me. i am hoping i can do it justice. for myself and for my grandfather and the other vets from that battle so long ago.
joe
Looks good. I’m also working on the Italeri kit and I like it so far [:)]
The blood on the figure doesn’t bother me. Don’t stand next to the pool if you don’t want to get wet, y’know.
i wanted to make a statement with my first dio. a tribute to those who didnt make it home. for those who went as boys and returned as men. i hope i can do it justice.
joe
The fact that you’re undertaking such a project, I think that’s a wonderful tribute in itself. Listen to your heart and don’t worry about if it’s good enough. I think you’ll end up with a wonderful diorama and a great tribute.
Follow your heart, and don’t sweat the risk taking Joe, I think most of us understand the sense of what you are trying to reflect in your dio. Thanks for the update, and keep pushing on. Semper Fi, mike
