My stand alone pariot model

The model theme: is ‘stand alone model on display’ only. I had it mounted on a trailer before but decided to make it a stand alone model instead. The main inspiration for this built is this.

Something different!
Thanks for sharing, man

sorry but I have to be the dissenter on one thing.
What on earth would possess you to do such a thing to an AVENGER fire unit?
The things are pieces of doo-doo anyway (I know that is my MOS) and I don’t think that it is much of an improvement.

I think the point is building a model that not many have seen and enjoying the process.

Good stuff tking!

I was trying to base the model after an israeli version that was similiar in design. I had a small pic to work from and only one pic that showed the front side. Now, the rest was based on my imagination of how the back and the inside would have looked.

It’s okay if you disagree, no problem. I’ve had worst somments than yours. BTW, what do you mean by doo-doo?

Thanks for your comments any way.

Scorn, thanks. [:D]

OUTSTANDING!!!

The LVS you build looks like the USMC MK-48 Power Unit, designed to power five rear body units through an articulation joint.

I assume you scratched build your own kits. I say this, because I have not had any success in locating an LVS kit. The nearest I came was the Army 977 and 978 HEMTT offered by Italeri.

Thanks and yes you are right in saying that it is the MK48 traktor. I Kitbashed and scratchbuilt it using the HEMTTv Italeri kit. all my models are either scratchbuilt or kitbashed.
The only part I have to correct is the vent on the left side of the vehicle and the oil intake on top of the vehicle but otherwise I think i did a close job of modelling it.

I mean that the AVENGER is the most finicky piece of equipment I have ever had the pleasure(?!) to operate. The slightest jar will disable to firing circuits of the missile pods. And if you don’t treat the Machine gun just so, she will jam very easily. I haven’t even met a M2 that jammed so much.

But hey I looked over your site and I did like what you had done. And the…whatever you call it, was well done and imaginative. i was just expressing my opinion based upon experience.

Thanks for explaining.

Wow, EXCELLENT work. I love it. Is it 1/35 scale? I have a small favour to ask. I actually wanted to scratchbuild this beastie myself, along with a conversion of the Italeri HEMTT tractor. Would it be possible to send me plans of this launcher that you built? My e-mail is zoran.zoranovic@gmail.com

Thanks for the reply and interest. The launcher is not 100% 1/35th scale but slightly larger. I did not use any plans just built from looking at pics. any more help just ask.[:)]
