My sherman 105

Pictures is of my Sherman 105mm. One item to point out is the sprockets are from a Jumbo kit. My wife’s Tiger (cat)[censored]chewed the 105’s sprocket. I’m working on a canvas cover to tie down the gear on the back deck and plan to add more gear and supplies.

Looks good [:D][tup]
Geting a bit of wet feet I can see, but thats just a tank in its right invironment.
( ofcourse we are some who are of the opinion that a sherman is not a tank [swg][:D] )
Oh boy im gonna get it this time [B)][(-D]

Good work!
What color did you use for the base coat? It looks perfect for allied armor (particularly Shermans).

One point from the Critic’s Corner: the weathering is a little too “brushy.” That is, the mud and dirt was applied in such a way as to betray the fact that it was indeed applied with a brush. Also, the location of the mud seems a little unnatural. I would suggest studying reference pics of muddy armored vehicles, and even modern construction equipment to get a good idea of where and how mud, dust and dirt accumulate on vehicles.

To avoid “brushiness,” you might want to try not loading as much “mud” paint on the brush, and apply it lighter strokes.

I hope you find my suggestions helpful!

Again, good work.

Looks great. Brian pointed outt he only thing I would have. Well the foot print in the groundwork next to it is a bit out of scale. [;)]

That looks awesome.

Well as the japanese say " look!!! its godzilla" aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! looks good like the dioroma. hehehe very real like.

Looks good tnker101. Nice clean workmanship on the build.

Don’t worry about the pasts coming from the Jumbo … Sherman maintenance crews regularly swapped parts.

Monrad - Spoken like a true diehard supporter of the tanks (insert Tiger, Panther, Panzer III, IV, etc) that finished in last place in W.W.II

nice job tnkr. I really like that first photo, pretty convincing shot.

[(-D][(-D] I knew I could count on you to say something like that.
Oh never mind, who knows I might end up building a sherman one day.

I use Polly Scale O.D green mixed with 25% white. The Mud on the hull was based on my own M-1, we hit a large mud hole and all but the turret has awash in mud. Thanks on the bush tips Thats the first kit I use pastels on.

Looks great Buddy! Keep up the good work!

Good-lookin’ OD!

Well, you’ve certainly got a great reference for mud!
Keep up the good work.

Good looking Sherman tnker.
Don’t worry about the out of scale foot print, just tell them the tank is from a Liliputian armored division and they’re looking for Gulliver.

Your terrain looks so realistic, very impressive [;)]

Nice work on the Sherman, looks great.

Wow thats one big diorama[:P]
It looks great!
