My sergury is done!!

Hi gang.

Thought I would let you know that I had my sergury yesterday.

It got delayed 2 days becouse they had a critical come in. No problem though. It went very well and I’m back home taking it easy. I go for a check up next Friday. My Doc said that my thyroid was as big as a grapefruit and had pushed my wind pipe,voice box and trakeia to the left and he was amazed that I could still breathe and swallow at all.

I’m glad to have this thing behind me so I can get back in the game of being normal.

Hi guys.

I’m fealing pretty good. I was a bit sore at first but that has mostly gone away. I will be happy to get these stitches out becouse they itch like crazy. Thanks for the kind words.

I 've been eating everything in sight!! When I woke up in recovery I was very hungry. I never lost my appitite. Some ice cream sounds pretty good about now.

Hi all.

I went for my check up today. My doc dropped a small bomb on me. He had my thyroid sent off for tests and he told me the results of them.

Y’all ready for this?? He said that there were signs of cancerious cells in it but we cought it early thankfully before it could spread to other areas.

He wants to give me a radioactive dye pill to make sure that we have killed it all. Before we can do this though, I will have to have a second sergury to remove my other thyroid. Bummer!!! I have agreed!! I may very well be cancer free right now but I am not willing to risk it.

My sergury is Monday at 9:00A.M. This does suck a bit. Just when I thought I was out of the woods something just had to pop up and bite me in the @$$!![:(!] Oh well. I will have to take thyroid meds for the rest of my days but that is a small price to pay if I can be cancer free.

I need your continued support on this. Wish me the best.

Oh man Mark [:O],
