This is the old Dragon Panther II built oob except for an Armorscale barrel. Before anyone says that there wasn’y supposed to be a muzzle brake, I used a little artistic license ( plus the muzzle brake was so darn nice, a little kit all itself, I had to use it). Will try to get some better pictures later but here she is.Hope you like .
Oh yeah, I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I recieved first place in the armor class and best of show with this little kitty kat at a local show.[:)] Thanks for looking.
Hey man, that’s gorgeous! WHo’s to say that this aufrung with the muzzle brake would not have been adopted in time? That’s the nice thing about some of these prototypes and "paper panzers’ that are out there now; you can legitimately take as much artistic lisence as you want! I think it looks cool!
There have been Tiger II produced in one-offs with–if I remember correctly–the same guns as were in the Panthers, and upgunned StuG IIIc’s with L/48 guns as well, so…
I think it looks awesome! Congrats on the win![#toast][yeah]
Not bad for fantasy. Of course, this isn’t a Panther II, but, a nice "what if " concept. I actually have seen people get angry on some of the other sites when this kit is represented as a Panther II. Sometimes the rampant need for absolute accuracy nowadays overshadows the fact that, like your tank, it’s a pretty darn nice model.
[tup] Fantasy or not, it looks pretty good to me. The first picture gives a very menacing appearance… especially with that intimidating muzzle brake. [#toast]Good for you!
