Looks GREAT footcav ! Nice work on an old & difficult kit. Photography is a LOT like modeling. Experimentation + Practice = Results. The photography does NOT detract from the great build. Congrats !
It looks good to me. I think it is a very nice model. Good weathering and the paint jobs looks good.

Thanks for all of the approving comments… I can’t say what a pleasure it is to share this hobby and all of the information and expertise of the accomplished members of this forum… I have learned a great deal more from this medium than I ever could have otherwise.

Just looked at the pics you posted. The photography is great. My P-40B is still in the works. It’s not that bad of a kit if you’re willing to work on it. What did you do about the area under the flaps? I filled mine in and then added some details to it. But it still doesn’t look right. I probably should have glued them in the up position! I left the interior alone and left it kit stock even though it represents an E version or something. I’ve also opted to do it in the markings of the pursuit group at Riverside AAF, Ca, ca.1940. I’ve found one picture of it but it doesn’t tell me what group. I’m impressed with the level of detailing on yours. How long did it take? I’ve had mine going for about a month now.

Hey that bird is great!, i have done one also, but is not as good as yours, i have a question, i was wondering how did you attached the antennas to the wing tips, they look great, i just wasnt able to do that… [:(] anyway, congrats on that model, i would appreciate any advise or suggestion you can give me…
That’s a good looking bird you have there, and I love the particular aircraft you picked. Robert L. Scot was my hero when I was a mere lad of 12 or so. That was about 37 years ago when I read his book, “God Is My Copilot”. Man, I must be getting old. Na, not me, I know old people.
Greast job. Listen, I just finished a P-40B, 1/48 scale, the Monogram kit. Your paint job was good, nice weathering, solid piece. I’m still learning. I was patient and careful, but still made a lot of mistakes. Overall, it was a good build but my painting needs much work.

Very nice work-- I like the detail and weathering, as well as the mini-diorama base (even though I tend to prefer the look of the P-51 to the P-40). Thanks for sharing the pictures! 
Nice looking model, Footcav. Having built that model a couple of times, I know it’s sometimes a beast of a kit but you did a real good job with it. So, what’s next then? Dewoitine D520? Or else?

I’ve started on the Tamiya Dewoitine… My first real attempt at photoetch… Going pretty well, so far… Is it just me or is the Dewoitine a bit smaller than other planes. I never realized either the very flat wing dihedral until after some dryfitting of the kit…
