Hey guys some of may have seen the 1/72 diorama Im currently building. It is the futuristic urban one with a bunch of troops running around. Well I decided to add a vehicle to the mix I think and I bought a cheap Heller VAB 4x4 to work with. Ive been modding it into kind of a different vehicle and am working on a unique paint scheme for it right now.
Heres some progress pics in order.
Cool–it does kinda look like a “Space Marines” type vehicle from “Aliens” or something…
Thanks doog, that’s the look Im going for. In the last few pics it just shows me experimenting with some camouflage patterns. I cut masks out and put them on and lightly airbrushed ocean gray, unfortunately when I lifted them the paint peeled. It doesn’t matter too much though because its just the boarding ramp I was practicing on. I think Ill use the light grey (Light Ghost Grey, Testor’s Acryl) and the Polly Scale Ocean Grey, I might add a black in there too but still haven’t decided, Ill wait till I got more of the dio done and coloured.
