Hi again
I have been doing some work on the YZR M1 here are some of the parts that I have attempted so far. I am using a combination of Top studio, crazy modeller and studio 27 parts including BBR models carbon fibre decals.

I’ve done some more work on this build, and i have to say my eyesight is really suffering! I wear glasses and when it comes to modelling now I have to take them off to see!!! Yep I have been to get my eyes checked out —but I am at the stage where they say if you can do without them no problem—the problem is once I finish modelling I really have trouble readjusting to having my glasses on, but hay that life.

This shows the 2 bikes I’m building 1 being near box build the other being heavily modifidied.
This one I think looks like a hedgehog at the moment with the extra cables but it does show the built chain.
This is just the modified bike showing the chain a little bit clearer.

I have nearly completed the near box bike, but the modified bike has got me at a standstill. I wan’t to do some more, but time just holds me back or is it just me reaching my limit. It is really frustrating as i have other models I want to build but i will finish this build first. The other models are -----Merlin EH101 modified,Ferrari Enzo, Enzo detailed,FXX,FXX detailed, Yamaha YZR M1 2009 (just got it)
Well, that modified version in particular, where you’re flexing your skills, is simply amazing

This is the box bike with a Minichamps figure - I have another Minichamps that I am cutting apart so that he will be cornering will require a repaint as it was when he was with Aprilla----painful expense but I think it will look better than the burnout figure.
Just to get away from this bike and unwind I built this. My god the errors I made!!! glue marks around the headlights, paint bleed around the front window, forgot to decal the instrument panel!!! Thankfully it wasn’t my bike, I’m glad i done the build it made me re-focus… step back at each step check and recheck.

Took a break from modelling today and had to take my wifes friends bike for a service. It was a Honda VFR800 VTEC, I normally ride a Pan European 1100 (1989 edition) MY GOD did this bike shift, I loved every minute
on it, but I I have got soooooo used to my creature comforts that I couldn’t live with this bike (yes the insane grin is still on my face). I have done in the past just over 130MPH on the PAN but that was on what we call a runway dash( using
an airfield runway and go as fast as you can without the law pulling you over–sometimes they are riding with you-----what a buzz ).
Yes I stayed legal today due to wet roads, mud and leaves on the road, but I have to say the exhaust note was AMAZING.
Tonight I will hopefully do more work on the Valencia bike.

Another update on the modified bike. I manged to rework the Exhaust to include the brackets for the springs then sprayed it . I then used the Tamiya weathering powders before fitting the springs (quite e few disappeared - never to be seen again into the carpet! thankfully there was plenty in the kit!). Once fitted I then instaled the radiator including the radiator cowl. Here we go----
- Exhaust fitted with brackets, sensors and sprayed
- Exhaust with the Tamiya blue powder rubbed on.
- Exhaust with the Tamiya orange powder rubbed on.

Great weekend for modelling but not for my bank account-------some BA£$%^D used my details and spent over £1300 using my account. I wish I had that amount of money, but my wife and I were going out for a meal which we had to cancel as I couldn’t pay for anything! All I can say is watch were and how you pay for things. Fingers crossed my account will get sorted out on Monday.

next update, I have put the front end together (no glue involved) but the wheel is a bit loose at the moment,but hopefully when the brake calipers are in place they will hold it in place.

I did a lot of work at the weekend. Friday night I was sorting out the wiring and adding more of the details to the front end. saturday I took the bike out of the cabinet and -------dropped it. Yes there was damage, but thankfully after I had calmed down (nearly threw it across the room!!) and looked it wasn’t as bad as I first thought. When I built the front end I didn’t glue it in place, this took the impact and came apart. There was slight damage to the front cowl, but I have since repaired it. There is also damage to the little frame around the forks but I will repair this when I refit the forks.
I will post more photos soon.
My weekend had another casualty that I didn’t notice!- the front mudguard sorry it’s blurred, but I have an ideal replacement for it --the other bike- sorted.

As you can see there are still random wiring bits still flapping in the breeze but until I fit other various connectors they have to stay there, but it does look like the bike has had a haircut. At least I think it’s looking more like a bike.
I have done some more work on the front end, hopefully I have finished plumbing the front.

I eventually got round to finishing this build,well almost, I still have to do some work on the standard bike and do the seat on both bikes.I changed the figure that would be on the bike to an upright figure( for the moment) as I couldn’t get helmet decals.
The one thing I haven’t figured out is how to display the pair of bikes together. Anybody got any ideas?
Nearly time to start back on the Ferrari FXX conversion.
