My new StuG IV.

hi guys,

This is my new 1/35 Academy StuG IV, ít’s a rather easy build, all parts fitted fine… this is the reult, which is quite nice in my opnion since i haven’t got a really fancy airbrush (revell standard class)
3 pictures:
The stug without the side armour

and two with side armour

what do you guys think about my new kit?

Looks good thijs.
Nice camo. [:D][tup]

Looks great thanks for the pics.

Looks quite nice thijs. I really like the camo and the tools look excellent. [tup]
Are you planning on any weathering?
If I may suggest a couple little things:

  1. Drybrush steel on the tracks, idler rims and drive sprocket teeth these areas would be shiny from wear.
  2. It appears there is an ejector pin mark on the inside of the schurtzen (side armour) at the front, a little putty and sanding will cover those (or just sanding if they stick out from the panel.
Overall a real nice build, keep it up and [#welcome] to FSM

Good stuff thijs! Welcome. Nice job.

I haven’t weathred it yet, i’ll drybrush a bit silver on the tracks and on some parts of the tank itselve, it also needs a layer of mayt furnace to cover up the decasl(who are too shiny now)
I’ll post some more pics tomorow

Well I hate to be a party pooper, but do I see purple?[:O]

Well it’s probebly my VERY OLD computer screen…

well done job, sure was a pain in the neck painting all the dots, huh thijs…?

Anyway [#welcome] aboard I’m sure you can use us and we’ll be able to use you. [:D]in a good way!!![:D]

Nice job, thijs. Get those ejector pin “canyons” filled, some weathering on there and you’ll be done!.

Looks really good. Welcome to the forum and the darkside!

ITs rusty brown, no purple, the camera overklighted it a bit, i’ll put a darker layer over the whole stug to make it better for photo’s

Looks very nice so far, and I have no doubt that with some weathering it will look even better. Nice work.

And, welcome aboard [:)]

Welcome thijs. Stug’s looking good. I concur with the recommendations and you’ll have a very nice display.

It looks great , as said before just fill those irritating ejector pin marks , ( they always put them where they will be noticeable or unfixable (dragon indy links) ) as for the “purple” redbrown , its just a cruel trick flash does to unweathered camo, weather it a bit and it will look great , flash or not . And as said before [#welcome] to the forum and we all look forward to your future posts .

Nice work on the kit. Just the lilttle clean-up suggestions that the others have passed along will help out a good bit.

Hi there
Nice work. A little weathering and all is good. Thanx for showing us.

Keep well.
