My new kit, tips before I start please

I am quite pleased to have found a 1/48 F-101 Voodoo kit. This is Monograms old kit, and at first glance it will be a fun build.

I’m just wondering if anyone has made a Voodoo? Any tips for me? Things to watch out for? I will be doing it in the 410 Cougers (RCAF) markings.
