Personally I don’t see why, if you are a modeler, you would buy a model built by someone else. I also think you paid way too much for it. But, to each their own. It looks like the Academy Tiger kit, good kit. Looks to be built well and painting/weathering, etc looks good. Faces on the figures could be better, their eyes are too big. Hope you are happy with it.
If you are ever looking to have any custom builds done, drop me a line at the email link below. I will build to suite and specialize in Vietnam to modern armor and helicopters.
Thanks for your comments Gino. I do not think the price is to high. I have seen models not as good, but have sold higher.

Nothing personal Mark, but I sorta agree with Gino. Naturally, not all of us feel comfortable with our builds and would like to get his favorite or whatnot done “professionally”. I might not be able to build like the “pros”, but I know I have the satisfaction of doing it myself to the best of my abilities. I’d consider an A/C built professionally, because I haven’t dabbled much in them myself, but it would have to be within reason. That Tiger is a bit up there to me, but as long as it makes you happy, then who cares what any of us thinks about it. I hope you enjoy it; it s a nice build.
[:D]i think the model is very well done, but not for that price, sorry[:D]
It’s a well built model but too rich for my wallet.
Hey I have some water to sell ya.[:D][:D][:D] Its a joke dont take it personal. Thebuild is great but I do agree with theother guys on this one.Hope it gets to ya in one peice
In my opinion, the worst model builded by oneself still better than a fantasy model builded by a model-master.
Of course,Modelling just for fun.If you really love that Tiger,Just get it!
Let us know the condition it arrives in. Poland to MN, it is bound to take a beating.
Why didnt you just get one of those Forces of valour 1/32 scale Die cast Tigers, every thing opens on them and they look better ans there cheaper
whats the price of the 1/16th kingtiger?
I know that it’s your money that paid for it. Its a great looking build, but I myself find more pleasure building my own than buying someone else’s build. You could have bought 5 new kits for the price of that one. But again that’s my personnal feeling. Tiger33
I,ll sale you my Tiger cheaper and it doesnt have to come from Poland[swg]
I don’t know. I mean, it’s your $ and you can spend it the way you see fit, but … I agree with makimashida.
When you build a model you make it yours by each decision: what scheme, wether to add weathering, mud, grass, wich markings to put on it and more and when it’s finished it doesn’t matter that someone did exactly the same model based on the same reference: they will be diferent! Even the mistakes make it unique. In the end it’s like a small piece of yourself is in the model.
Hey mark seems like you are taking a beating on this one. Don’t stress over it, if your happy thats what counts. I don’t think I would purchase a finished model, but there must be a market look at Tamiya’s line of finished models.
I agree with the consensus. But hey, if you got the money and that is your thing…why not? I hope it gets there in one piece. I personally would have bought a few really nice kits, some paints and maybe an Iwata Micron B.
Good Luck
Ryan
Not sure I’d want to spend that kind of money on a built model. However some reasons to buy a really well made model.
Inspiration for one thing, seeing how another modeller did something. Not enough time to build all the models you want to have in your collection. Of course for most of these a trip to an IPMS show and some digital photos would suffice in my oppinion.
Now for say an award winning Diorama then maybe that would be different. I was recently in Hornet Hobbies in Toronto (I think thats the name) and they have a diorama of russian armour going through a section of the Berlin Zoo in 1945 with lions and stuff on the loose. Now thats the kind of thing i would pay for since to me thats a peice of art.
the Tiger looks ok, its not a bad price hes selling it for, bare in mind hes in Poland, how much would the kit be there, its expencive here in the UK but its gotto be 4 times more in Poland than in the states to buy it, then all the work thats gone into it and the figures and hes done his research
Mark it looks like a great buy, i hope you get a nice display case for it
and i hope its not another Ebay horror story, when he says Paypal isnt working there
that Berlin zoo dio is great
Thanks for all the comments. I love the model thats why I bought it. I call it art work. I can build good models and will still build models. A guy bought a model from him and he sent it all the way to California and it arrived in great shape. I should have it in 6 to 10 days and I will post pictures of it.
