This is Heasagawa’s 1/32 Fw190 A-8 not my best but it will work had major fit issues with the nose i tryed to shim the fusalage then the wings didnt fit then the engine cowling fit but bothing else did finly said the heack with it and built it as is. Nothing special done to it just OOB. Hope you all like it.
Despite the problems with the fit it ended up very nice. None of the flaws show up so I guess you conquered them. What did you use for the wash by the way?. How did you find the rest of the kit?. Good job, well done.
Steve.
Another nice one mate!
Chris

Bud
Another beauty. I like the way the antennae looks.
Looking good, smokinggun. You did a killer job with the airbrush. The 190 is an awesome bird.
Nice work in spite of the fit issues! You can’t tell in the pics that there are any issues with the nose. [8D] [tup] [tup]

Steve,Chris,Darren,Bud,Marc,Mucker,Scott,phoenix7187**,**Andy, Thank you guys.
Steve i used the A/B exclusavly on this i thinned Blk and leather MM with thinner and sprayed it over the panel lines.
phoenix, I used MM RLM enamels on this build. For the exaust plate is Flt Blk and then sprayed tamyia smoke along the side and did a lite coat of Flt Blk over that.
Marc those anntena mounts are a bugger iam lucky they came out straight the way i shake, unfotunatly i dont suffer from sausage finger yet.[:)]
I am just not sure, what you mean when you say: "I Hope you like it?” Smoking this is nice job, and since most of my questions are answered, I will just admired you work.
Gumiflex
looks pretty good. the sahding is too hevay for my personal taste, but the build looks well done.
Thats what though when i looked at it, but icould fix it with out repainting the hole kit.
Wanted to tell you that you did a great job on the model. Now I have a question as I have both a 1/72 and a 1/32 waiting to be built in the near future. My question is, what did you use to make the antenna wires on the model, they look great. I have never tried streching spruce and such, but I have used some fishing line (2lb test). Thanks for any help and again, great job with the paint and all.
It looked almost like dark burnt iron to me. I will have to play with that combo myself. Thanks smokinguns.
Thank you , For the antenna i used Coats & Clark .005/D nylon thread and painted it with a black magic marker. For the spring i wound silver speaker wire the size about 2 or 4 lb test around a small busted drill bit while in the drill bit i pushed both ends togeather and carfuly slid it off and feed one end through the center tho make a loop then the other end feed it throught a hole i drilled in the ariel and feed it through the center of the spring and just a drop of CA to seal the ends. Drill a hole in the canopy small enough to fish the nylon thread through tie a knot at one end put a dab of CA on the knot and feed it through the hole when dry atach the canopy, after the glue drys feed the thread through the loop on the spring and glue it in place. I hope this helps you out.
It came out looking great, especially considering the fit issues you encountered.
Mark
Thanks Mark
