My latest - Airfix 1/48 Bae Hawk, Red Arrows

This is my most recently completed kit - the Airfix 1/48 Bae Hawk done up in the 2000 season RAF Red Arrows scheme.

Its a nice little kit, engineered smartly and goes together without any major fuss. The kit decals (which I used) are a bit iffy, however. The white is a little translucent, and one of the stripes on the bottom (#17 on my sheet) actually didn’t have any white on it; a printing error left that stripe CLEAR, so beware of that if you build this one… I had to cut a new stripe out of decals stock, and the white doesn’t really match…

Glad to hear your opinions!

A spiffy little bird, Gatormark! I love the red color with minimal livery!Your detail work is well done, also!

Airfix often has minor qc problems like the lack of white on the decal, but I agree that they are decent kits that build up rather nicely. Now, if they would only issue a Vickers Valiant in 1:72, I could finish my V-Bombers set!
