My infant diorama

I am currently working on this Diorama for my Stug III C/D. I plan on adding alot more to this, but any input would be greatly appreciated at this infant stage. The road section hasn’t really been started and there will be a water section as well. I plan on adding several figures and perhaps a motorcycle. I am not sure just yet.

Thanks,

Ted

Here is another shot

Ok, one more try

Looks pretty good to me. All I would add would be some rocks or branches on teh ground to add something to the ground.

Nice tree and vegetation. Looks good!

lizardqing,
Yeah, I am on the hunt for a birch tree local so that I can get some Catkins off of it. I found a really good bag of moss at the Micheals store, I will pick through it to find some “ferns”. I am just trying to go one step at a time and build up from the ground rather than go back.

BTW, has anyone used feathers? I read in the Modelling Masterclass Terrains book that feathers can be used as well as sisal string? Any luck from anyone on this? Please let me know.

When I get to the water part, I will be asking a bunch of questions then.

Also, if the thing looks like crap, please feel free to let me know. I am a big boy. I have been following the thread in the Armor section and don’t want to think you will hurt my feelings. I am a big boy now!!!

Ted,

What a nice beginning. I agree with the couple of rocks and sticks. You have developed a nice ralistic scene and now I want to see the rest.

Richard

Looking good alread, nice job.
However, personally I would get rid of the powercables and sockets, they look kind of out of scale [:D]

I’m impressed, Ted, you’re off to a fine start! Looking forward to more!

Take care,
Frank

whered u get the cool tree from?

scer16, I amde the tree from scratch using a wire armature, plaster, and a boat load of folliage. Time consuming, but fun. There’s a chapter in Terrains - Modeling Masterclass.

Thanks,

Ted

Ted,

Sorry I didn’t mention it before, but that IS excellent work on the tree and other foliage! [:)]

Thanks again,
Frank

Tread Head,

Its in the works. I plan to add a bunch more stuff. Thanks for your input. All of you guys input.
