Greeting all. I just had to share a couple pics of my grandson Andrew “building” his first air model. He is almost 5. Its a TESTORS QUICKBUILD snap & screw. Took all of 40 min. Fastest build I`ve ever seen. Hope you enjoy them I know i will forever.

Thats a great job[tup] that will make a fun toy. He also has a great name.
That is awesome dirtball!! Way to get em started young!
And just look at that smile. very nice.
Is it not just the best thing in life to see children at work? We so underestimate them. You can just see how much interest he has in his work. A fine young grandson you have there!!
Also very nice of you to come back to us from year 2035 to show that modeling is alive and well in the future!!
Thanks for sharing.

[#ditto] Very, very nice work Andrew!
Nice job, Andrew, nice job Grandpa! Way to spark some interest into our hobby!
I think I`ll have to reset the date stamp on the camera. Its a Christmass gift from my kids. Still testing it out…
great way to get him started.

That first pic says it all!!!
Nice job!
Yeah, that smile is where it’s at. Tell the boy he did good and keep him at it g’pa!
Nice work for his first build. His selection of Lt Col Meyer’s HO-M is great also.

Thats a precious picture, thanks for sharing… and great job!
Do you find the TESTORS QUICKBUILDS better than the REVELL SNAP kits? My youngest has done couple SNAP kits, then tend to fall apart though, really need some glue.
Again, thanks for sharing!
Thank ALL of you for your kind words!! As you can tell, he had a blast! Played with it till bed time! JMART, I havent tried the RV. This is all they had, but it worked well. He did need help with the screws, went in kinda hard. But everything fit well, and it seems to be pritty durable. So thanks again, he got a kick outa seeing his pics on the forum. Just wish I could of got a pic of my ear to ear smill!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

The smile on his face says it all. Welcome to the new modeler.
Great Job! I like those QuickBuild sets, too!
Here is a great example for all those who ask the question,“How do we get young people more involved in modeling?”
Fast build time, great results, sturdy construction, and its suitable for play!
The fact that they can PLAY with them is a must! (As long as we stop them before they “firecracker” the planes, as many of us did in our youth~ ![]()
HobbyTown sales brochure also lists HobbyBoss 1:72 “easy Build kits” for US$6. I may pick a couple, see how they work. Again thanks for sharing!
Good for him! And you! Bringing another modeler into the group has it’s rewards. [tup]
