Fresh off the modeling desk, here is my Czech Models 1/48 Grumman JFR Goose modified for civilian use with Draw Decals Alaskan Airlines markings and OV 10-A Bronco props. Hope you like.
Really nice !!!
I was at Dulles a week or so ago, took some pix of theirs & then got the kit …
Workbench a bit too crowded right now …
That red car gets around. Wasn’t it in Germany in a prior post? Now Alaska. Wow.
Oh yeah… great job on the Goose.
great job swanny. I have to say its not a topic Id ever do but we all have our different tastes and quality in workmanship can be displayed anywhere. Dont know if you can anwser this but seeing your model made be thing of the old Schwarzeneager (sp) movie Commando. If you’ve seen the movie, is this the same plane?
Great job Swanny, and I really appreciate your web-site build review of the kit. Youv’e been cooking this one for a while but the end result is certainly a feast worthy of a King. I used to think the best thing in Sandusky was Cedar Point, but I was wrong. YOU are the main attraction. Keep em coming.
God Swanny you are fast. Nice job though. Very well done. very well done. Way to go. \
My that is one cool lookin A/C.
Hey, Swanny! It looks Terrific! I like how the panel lines are accented very subtlely. Hmmm… If the car was last seen in germany, does that mean that Alaskan Airlines flies berlin? [:D]
Looks GREAT, Swanny ! I really like the “totem” image on the tail. The thin supports on the outrigger floats look delicate. Are they kit items? The figures also add to the presentation. Did they come with the kit? You don’t see too many civilian (or military, for that matter) figures in 1/48. The guy by the landing gear looks like one of the Monogram ground crew figures. Is it? Another fine build !
What’s next? Are you going to treat us to dessert?
Swanny you most certainly have talent! What a Goose, a real beauty. I haven’t built a flying boat since I was a kid but I’ve always been fascinated by them. You make me want to build one. [;)]
Look’s great Swanny. You don’t see many of those being modeled.
Splended results, Swanny, as is common out of your shop!! Your Alaskan Airlines markings really do that that airctaft off, thank you for sharing it!
Take care,
Frank
Very nice job Matt.
Mike

Awesome build Swanny!! Does that mean that we’re done with the Goose puns and such?!
Looking slick, Swanny[8D]. Really nice, as always[:P]
Nice job! How did you do the propellor tips? I always have a hard time with those.
Don
Sharp looking Goose, Swanny. Another great build!
Well done! Superb workmanship.
