Since I am unable to resume modeling due to carpal tunnel in my right and good hand (middle and ring finger nerve damage) until my surgery after Feb 11th, I have been doing massive kit searching and research of model kits I want to do. Here here’s my long list of my kits I’ve got planned for myself:

De Havilland Mosquito of the 487th Sqn.

IL-2 Sturmovik - Red 19 as per article in FlyPast magazine

Yak-1 - White 22 of 20th Fighter Aviation Regiment - FlyPast magazine

IL-10 Beast - White 2 - Czechoslovakia, April 1945. This a/c was shot down during the last days of war near Holasky village (nowadays part of Brno city).

Hawker Tempest Mk.V of 150th Sqn

Spitfire Mk.IXc early version (Eduard kit) - TBD of squadron

Spitfire Mk.IXc late version (Eduard kit) - Charley Fox’s a/c again LOL!

Short Stirling B Mk.I/II of 214th Bomb Sqn (Battle of Berlin)

Avro Lancaster - 207th Bomb Sqn (Battle of Berlin)

Handley Page Halifax Mk,I/II/III - 35th Bomb wing (Battle of Berlin)

after your surgery, during your recovery phase, discuss plastic models with your doctor

when I had my Carpal Tunnel work done in the 1980’s (before it became the RSI known as CTS, lol), my doctor told me to use model building as a part of my recovery physical therapy,and my current doc said to use it to help fight the Arthritis problem

just a thought,and remember, your doc may vary from my two docs in what he recommends for you

Can we assume that this is a list of kits that you want to buy? Wow… All WWII, and no Japanese aircraft. That’s a pretty ambitious list. I like it!! [:D[ [:D]

Devil Dawg - Yes, it is a list of aircraft kits I plan on getting. However, there is one particular Japanese aircraft kit I left off I do want to try my hand on - the Kawasaki Ki45Kai Tei Toryu Nick (1/48th scale Hasegawa). I’ve yet done research on Japanese aircraft yet but that will come later. :))

That’s a big list. Do you have particular kits/scales in mind, or just what ever you can find.

First I wish you success with your surgery and a fast recovery to get back into plastic building and detailing and the other things in life. Model building does wonders to me as a means of a relaxation tool. And I will guarantee that your list will grow, and grow and grow!

Most of it will be 1/48th scale except for Stirling, Halifax and the Lancaster bombers. Yes that is a huge ambition goal but going to try my best. Thank you for the kind words of my upcoming surgery. Believe me, I’ve gone into withdrawal and it’s not a pretty sight to find myself from going stir crazy. Thankfuly my kits are hidden from sight to stop me from touching it and resuming. LOL!
