Maybe some rust or grease on the towing cable would make it more realistic.
Or just a wash of diluted black paint would do this cable justice. In any case, both models are nicely done, Miller41. Keep up the good work.
The Honey is a nice kit. Looks like a pretty good build. I wish my first tank looked as good as yours. Just a couple comments:
The paint is too glossy. Try a couple passes with some Dullcote or other flat clear.
I agree that a flat black wash and then a judicious use of dry brushing would really bring out the rivet/bolt and other raised detail on the model.
Ditto with the other posters on the tow cable. Try a steel color as a base coat, and then a black wash, and then a rust wash or drybrush.
Try painting machine guns gunmetal with some silver or aluminum drybrushing to show wear. Impressive!
This is just me, but I would have painted the coaxial machine gun gunmetal instead of blue…but that’s where artistic “license” comes in. You also might want to think about (in the future) taking a really small drill bit and a pin vise, and drilling out the machine gun barrels. This really adds to the realism.
The inside of the main gun should be painted a dark flat color. I use flat black. This goes a long way toward hiding the glue seams on the inside of the barrel. A slightly larger drill bit than barrel diameter run through the barrel also helps with reducing inside seams.
Just curious: Is there really that much distance between the turret and gun mantlet? I haven’t built the kit yet, but it just looks a little excessive. Probably just my eyes.

Thats why i like posting here, so many good constructive comments. I have MAJOR problems with washes, and to be honest the tow cable got added at the last minute. I no longer have that model as it was a gift for a friend, but if someone will explain in simple terms about washes, that would help. I always assumed that a wash went over the entire model, but now i am not sure.
Nice work for your first kits miller41. Can’t really add much more than has already be said. One way to tone down the brightness of the colours is to use pastel chalks for weathering. They are quite reasonable in cost and can be purchased at any arts & crafts store.
Nice work. I like the paint job on the Stuart but don’t know who used it ( I do know it’sBritish). Nice job on the P-51, I usually have trouple around the exhausts.
[;)] The tank is a "honey " all right. If you have difficulty with weathering you can use a dull clearcoat over the entire model to dull the shine. the paint scheme is great. Keep building the Armor. As you know Armor Rules!![}:)] The wing thingy is relly nice. But I can’t figure out why the keep trying to put wings on armor. They keep getting caught in the trees[:I][:D] For real the plane is a fine example of the early version of the P-51. The paint scheme is really nice. Great work[;)]
