This is the very first Warhammer kit I’ve ever built. Its an Eldar Falcon grav tank.
I’m still working out the final details of a desert type display stand for it, but I’m considering the vehicle itself complete.
I did quite a bit of modification around the exhausts and carved a few vents here and there.

Great job again Kevan, It must have snowed alot this winter. If you moved to Vancouver Island you’d have even more time to model, no snow to shovel.

Well it does snow more than I’d like here on the Praires and winter doesn’t give up its grip on us easily. Just as soon as you think its on its way out for another year, its throws a bit more at you. I just work on other aspects of modeling that I can do indoors over the winter.
I dont know anything about warhammer but that thing looks awesome.
I don’t know anything about Warhammer either, I just thought it looked real cool and would make an interesting break from my usual fare.
Those role playing games are just over my head as things go, I can’t get wrapped up enough in the idea to see anything more than nice modeling subjects in their products.

[#ditto][#ditto] but if they came out with some sort of TV series, the vehicle looks interesting enough to watch, and find out the story behind it…I really enjoy your model, it definately breaks up the routine of ‘normal’ models…and I thinks it’s cools how it looks so futuristic…Damn, you guys are trying to pull me into Sci-Fi…quit trying to trick me!!![:P][;)]

Thanks for the kind comments, I don’t do much sci-fi, the old days of Star Trek kits by AMT kind of put me off of it. I had their Cardassian Galor Class ship from the DS9 series and nothing went right with it, I gave up.
I’m waiting for the Polar Lights NX-01 Enterprise to hit the shelves of hobby shops around here and I’ll make a grap for one. That is such a cool design.

I also liked the figures and vehicles or the Warhammer series but couldn’t figure out the game playing strategies. Yours is a great looking ship.

Cool finish. I allways liked the Eldar tanks, so sleek and stealthy. I haven’t even touched mine. I assembled and primed it (took a totally different approach) then my ‘normal’ models. But the way that the construction of the thing is set up, didn’t really leave me much choice.

I have an Eldar Falcon and a Tau Hammerhead. I’ve nowhere near the detail you put into your’s. Keep up the great work. Hey, if you have the time, do a Tau Hammerhead or Devilfish. They look cool, and though mine is “done”, it still could use things.
I’m kind of disappointed with Warhammer 40k, because there isn’t enough variety for me. (but I am trying one of thier tanks anyway!
Nice work upnorth! By the way, they are coming out with a revised version of the rules this Fall, so don’t anyone kill yourself learning the intricacies of the rules. [:)]
The game is not a terrific one, but it is a decent enough vehicle for using their models – some of which are quite clever.
I completley agree with you ngc7293. I was into it for a while, but it just got so repetitive. They actually had some really interesting aftermarket kits put out by forgeworld. They’re full resin kits, and as such cost an arm and a leg and your firstborn. But looked cool nonetheless. Look them up, and find the baneblade (or something like that) tank. It’s a beast.
so do the warhammer kits such as the one in the pictrue actually require assembly? as in gluing the parts all together?
Yeah, they do require some very basic assembly. The kits I’ve had and built go together VERY quickly, as they have very few peices. It’s a totally different approach to modelling. Not so much of a focus on building as it is on painting.
The one in the pic can be assembled in less than an hour!
