Just finished building the basic model any advice to weathing.
That’s a good lookin’ base build Tony. I’m still learning things about the weathering aspect when it comes to armor builds so I’ll be learning as well.
That looks real good, those resin bases are a nice intro to dios and vignettes.
I like to use pigments to dust things up a bit, especially the tracks and suspension.
This ones 4yrs old now,but it shows the use of pigments, and the base is similar to yours
Nice job for your first model! Might try a brown pin wash to highlight details then light dust on the lower hull?
I’ll get a brown pin wash, Do I need to cover with a varnish first.

Two of the easiest weathering techniques to start with are drybrushing and washes.
Quick easy reference to some how-to videos made by FSM.

Video on washes:
I always apply a gloss clear before applying a wash. It makes things a lot easier.
I’ll be watching both of those. Thanks for posting those up Johann!
