Joe

there i got it im not sure what the prob was ill try the other pics later

the first pic doesnt work, but the second does and it looks great!! better than my models now and you had an 8 year break, good job!!! the weathering looks excellent

I could see the first 2 pictures, but the 1st one is kinda blurry. The 2nd pic reveals a nicely weathered German Half-Track in dirty winter whitewash. I love the weathering, especially how the whitewash has taken more abuse around the troop compartment.
I do have a couple pieces of constructive critism though:
There’s a little bit of gloss black peaking out from the right tire. From what I can see of the troop compartment interior, it may need some dirty treatment. A little bit of mud in the wheel wells would be appropriate.

These are small nit-pics, which I share to help on your next build. It’s a beautifully weathered halftrack, and it looks mean.

And, Sergeant, welcome to the forums, we look forward to seeing your next one.

Semper Fi,
Chris

i had to remove a couple pics i dont understand why they wont work maybe i need to try a new photo host any ideas[:(!] thx for the remarks i guess i was just in a hurry to get it gone i missed some little things i did weather the seats and put a pastel dust wash on the inside its hard to see in the pic

Sgtkopp,

Excellent work. I like it. You said that you painted it white and then weathered it?? Looks good. Try www.photobucket.com If you want, you can contact me via email and I will walk you thru it.

i first painted it schwarzgrau the went over it with white let it dry 48hrs then took sand paper to it hard in some places soft in others then on the side where i put the number i cut the decal in pieces to macth the missing white paint on that side then used pastels and acrylic washes for the weathering i have been reseaching all of these weathering techniques and gave them all a try it turned out pretty good imo i learned alot readed threads and checkin out websites im going to try my hand with a ab for the 234 build wish me luck

Outstanding work man. Sounds like you put a lot of thought into it. i will also be joining you with the 234 build. Thats going to be a good time.

thx for all the positive feedback makes me feel great about building models again have a great day[:D]

Nice half track Sgtkoop. The weathering is great. I like the worn away number. That thing would be hard to spot from a plane in snow covered terrain.

Great work man, I hope my first model is as good as yours. I use Webshots as a photohost, you can upload very large photos and link to your album.

Wow, sandpaper to paint, interesting way of wearing the white through. You did a good job. I myself would have tried a whitewash. Can you provide some details about the kit?

nice 251/1 Cor D ?

Very nice work for your first in a while!!

Nice job!
