my first diorama comments welcome

hi all

this is my first diorama, its a 1/72 scale type v11C… it was done by painting a 4 foot shelf. then applying 3 coats of gel medium then finished with future…thx

Pics don’t show, but do work if you click on them.

Fixed images.

It looks awesome, Good job.

Really nice work. I love it. The ocean looks very realistic.

hi

many thx for comments hope to add crew soon…

I’m not really into boats as a rule but WOW! the sea is superb as is the rest. A crew would really set this model off.

Thanks for posting them. I might try a U-boat next.

Excellent job. Great paint and weathering job on the U-Boat.

The water is superb.

You spelled “Boat” wrong on the the baseplate. But other than that, it looks really cool. I have been thinking of doing a U-Boat. How difficult was this kit? Good job.
Yes, I was kidding about the spelling.

hi m60a3

the kit itself is a really nice and easy kit to do the only thing that bothered me was cutting some of it off! then it was trial and error with the water as never done nothing like that before

cheers

mick

Good deal. Thanks, Mick!

absolutely FANTASTIC JOB!!! on that dio and as to the reply about mis’spelling ‘U BOOT’ it is spelt correctly in german, thats means BOAT in english !!!

MINT LOOKING JOB…ian [:D] [:D]

looks really good. I’ve actually just purchased this kit…(can’t resist U-boats)… and i’m just wondering if you or anyone else has seen any interior detailing kits for this model. It would be so nice if I could remove the deck to reveal a fully detailed interior, mabye even with figures at their stations! Anyone seen kits like this? I’ve looked around but with no luck. The only thing that I can find is bridge figures. Thanks ahead!

Nicely done. Definatley a showcase piece.

Scheislos, I think one of the best dioramas I’ve seen of a U-boat was one that portrayed it breaking through some heavy seas, much like the u-boats in your avatar. The guy spent something like 300 hours on the water alone but man was it worth it.

For your first 1/72 diorama I think you did an awesome job, keep up the good work.

hi guys

thx again for comments…Schieß los! i have seen cut away sections for this size boat… if i recall right its engine room and bridge area (under conning tower)

all the best

nautilus

wow…those cutaway sections are 50 bucks each…not for me…anyway nautilus what colors did you use for this kit?

Schieß los!

hi mate the colours are grey primer for the top half and matt tank grey for the bottom half… used pastels for weathering and coated in future any more info just mail mate
