Excellent work, pingtang–nice job on the freehand camo…I did a desert Fw190A years ago (about 1977)–first time I used an airbrush–it turned out decent but not as nice as your 109. Wish I still had that model. You did a very good job on the canopy, I must say.

uproar - My first go at a freehand camo job was on a FW-190 too. It turned out pretty ordinary, but it was a good learning piece. I’m work on the Dragon 190 now and the colour scheme I chose has extensive mottling and is oversprayed with black for night operations. I’m gonna enjoy doing the camo on that.

Mate what did you use for the wash on that 109[?]

Well my good man, I used my old style home cooked wash. It consists of water, diswashing detergent and black paint. Here’s a tip I’ll give you for free (you’ll need all the charity you can get if you put money on QLD[;)]). when your jar of flat black is just about empty, pour in some water and dishwashing liquid so you’ll have a ready made wash next time you need it. Don’t know about ratios of the mix, just add water til it looks ‘right’ (that’s how everything works for me).
