These are three pictures of my recently completed 1/35 Hornisse from Dragon.
I used Revell paints on it, Rembrandt pastels (firstst time iIused pastels on a model kit, really like it) and some light oil wash from acrelic paint.
It was my second attampt with separate track links( I think I got the hang of it, ou judge by looking at the pictures [:)] ) and my first try with my airbrush to paint a camo like this.
Tell me what you think of it!
The photo’s are a bit overlighted due to the flash of the camera,
Good job on the individual link tracks. They can be such a pain in the a–. You even got them to sag a bit! My only constructive comment would be to use a good dull-cote. It looks a bit shiney, or it could have just been the camera flash.
The camo looks field apped , just like they would be in 1/1 , nice fine lines .
I would do a bit of fade and dulling with some Tamiya buff ( thinned almost like a wash )and pastels .
Just to take a bit of the sheen off , cameras with flash add gloss as well .
And hit the top of the gun race? ( where it slides back) with a drybrush of silver
Other than that it looks great .
Did a respectable job on those frustrating dragon idy links too . [8D]
