OK this is my first try at armor in a long long time (no comments about the screen name please [:p]) I tried out a new weathering process by recklessly combining modifying and otherwise cannibalising the methods of other better builders. Comments about how you think the weathering turned out are greatly appreciated. Another thing i want to know is how the track color and painting came out. Do you guys think it looks OK? Other criticisms are welcomed also. well here it is.
This last one is not of my stug. it is of me examining my dogs- ummm- armament- hehe.
Very dark, it makes it difficult to see the upper surface of the vehicle, so if you applied any washes/drybrushes, they may not have shown up nicely on these photos. But it looks nice from what can be seen, especially the mud on the lower hull beyond the wheels.
Tankmaster you did a great job on that Stug.Just a little bit more yellowing,ho thats the dog ha,ha,ha.Now like I said,you did a great job,if there is one thing to be done it would be on the exhust.It need to be toned down a bit.Digger
Yup, it is the tamiya kit. Quite frankly, I think it is the best stug kit out there in any scale. The mud is my super secret special mud recipe… that I will most likely post here when I am not feeling too lazy.
umm it looks great man… only one thing? IMHO you went too heavy on the top of the tank with the dirty effect… I love the chassis of the tank and the tracks are awsome! it just looks like it was rolling on it’s back too much! Great mud on that chassis though, and great track sag. were the indies or rubber band?
