Tried something new. My 1st video tutorial. This method was suggested to add shadows to a figure with complex uniform camo It wasn’t the idea of oils over acyrilcs… nothing new about that… but the use of the brushes to take off the excess.
Liked the video toot! Picture is worth a thousands words especially for modeling… I was able to watch the video without any issue. Bet those wheels were for your Marder, huh? [:P]
Eric, the problem Kenny is talking about is with my website. the video is on Photobucket.
Kenny, I had a problem a while back. Google periodically scans the site and it has showed up clean since then. There are still some broken links that happened when I had to upload the entire site all over again. Some security software picks those up and gives a warning. I am going to request another review. But if you are not comfortable… don’t go there for the time being.
Waikong… not sure why you could/t see it.
Andy… Marder wheels? me? What would I be doing with Marder wheels?
Looks like an effective technique, very similar to a pin wash but without having to use thinner to achieve the effect. Congrats on the video debut! [;)] [B]
Mike. I’ve left messages for George but he won’t return my calls. Go figure.
Bill, yeah very similar results. I am looking at the Marder, really wanting to try that on the whole thing but I am afraid of brushing away all the fiddly bits.
nicely done Marc videos definatly get the point across better than pics and explanations i might try this but my strong yorkshire accent with a east tennessee twang might throw folk off a bit heh [:D]
Ron, I think that would be very interesting…“Oy, shagge’, y’all come back now, ya hear!”
Doog, thanks for reminding me I need to check out his vid. But being an amateur videographer(sp?), to get my fat face in the frame would require change to wide angle lenses and refocusing etc.[:P]
Steve, Wow, you… er… I mean your double… came so close to being one of the videos where you scream out OH MY GOD as the crumpled body rolls down the landing ramp.
I see it now, not sure what happened there. In any case, looks great… Modelling is one of those medium where a video really shows what words and pictures alone can’t.
