Good Job Rainer Rohde!
You have made a great detailing work during assembly. I am looking forward to see it painted totally.
Anyway, for all Tiger fanatics specially…
Have you seen the Tiger one published in AFV magazine last issue???
Please take a look!
Thas Tiger caused a hot discussion in Missing Links some months ago. Obviously this guy will have BIG problems for painting it so accurately as his assembly work, I guess…
Enjoy modeling!

I used the “freehand” method with my Paasche VL ( #3 needle).
About Norman: Same as always I guess… but I only lived there since 2000, before that I was in OKC, coming from Germany in 1997…
Glad you like it
I saw that Tiger and, oh boy, what an awesome showcase! But painting it will be tricky, as he will find out. That’s why , even on my mildly detailed Tiger I had to paint as I go… not my favourite thing to do, but I had to… Came out allright… I’d say…
Of course, I could have went crazy super detailing everything, but then again, the kit itself captures plenty of detail already, minus some of the more obvious things that I pointed out in my 'blog.
Wow that is great [8D][8D][tup][tup]
allways nice to see another tiger fan
I have the same kit and am currently in the process of assembly. Thank you for the link to your site! It has answered more than a few questions and saved me a few hours of detective work. keep up the good work. Oh yeah, some of the pics seem a little dark to pick out detail but nonetheless a fine job!
Here’s a quick update on my work in progress… nothing fancy, as I am still waiting on Fruils and some more Tamiya Brass Shells… :

Looking real good Rainer.
Hey Rainer, your buildup of that kit is very impressive. It makes me want to finally build mine!
If you haven’t already bought them, may I suggest instead of the Friuli treads the WWII Productions resin treads? I’ve had some friuli treads that have been fine and some that caused me nothing but misery, but I greatly prefer the WWII Prod treads to even the best Friuli experience, because they don’t quadruple the weight of the kit like the Friuli do!
And WWII makes Tiger I treads … I’ve got a set!
Welcome!
Super job on the Tiger! I had a lot of fun building the kit also… another one of those ‘must have’ kits for armor modelers.

Man that Tiger is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!
