My completed 1/72 PanzerJg. Elefant.

O.k guys, here is my entry to this GB. It is a 1/72 PanzerJg. Elefant. (the pic’s make it look very glossy, but it is not, it is because of the flash and I was close to the model.) I think I am going to stay with 1/35 armor because you lose a ton of detail - or aleast in this kit. So as always, any and all comments are welcome, Enjoy!

BTW: This is a semi-clean build. and my first 1/72 scale model.

Looks good anthony, what did you use for the dusty treads?

Tamiya Buff.

Thanks.

Looks good Anthony. I like the camoflage. Can’t tell from the pics, but some drybrushing would really bring out the lines on her. You may have overdone the dusting a bit in relation to the rest of the build. Just my opinion. Keep em coming.

Anthony-looks great but as tigerman said-the dusting is a washout. Try to add a little detail back and harden up some edges and you’ll have a terrific build (that doesn’t take up much space).

PS I build a lot of 1/72 scale aircraft and do not weather them as it’s too easy to overdo.

anthony, looking good!

I like it. As always, I’m impressed with small scale builds. You did a good job. Are the tracks indy’s or one piece? Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks all, the tracks were indy’s and one piece.

For the drybrushing, what color should I use?

I always use a lighter base color myself then go all over the surface details and roadwheels. Another idea would be to shoot a light basecoat over the camo, but not too thick, just enough to soften it up.

nice job anthony! Dust looks great.

Looks great Anthony14! Looks better then my first 1/72 try boy was that a mess.

Looks great Anthony, Nice dust job! [tup]

Excellent build! Hope you can share more of your work.

Nice work!
Good advice from the folks above.
