I just bought my Badger Anthem about 2 months ago on sale. About 2-3 weeks ago I was putting it back together and I think I stuck the needle in too far and stretched out that cone piece. Now when I try to do fine lines I get a donut about 2-3mm across. I have noticed the needle sticks out a bit farther now than it did when I first got it too. What should I do?
Go to a hobby shop if you have one and buy a new cone (tip) for it.
If you can’t find it there, check this webpage: http://www.dixieart.com/155_Anthem_Parts.html
I suggest buying a new needle as well. No telling what happened to it durring the incident.

In fact, buy two needles, never hurts to have spares! While you’re at it, get some needle lube!

Great advice get spares! [tup]
Great thanks for the replies. Im not really into buying and ordering online so Ill go to the LHS sometime soon. I noticed that my cone size is a medium I think? Am I able to get finer tips?
Also the cone appears to be in there pretty snug and Im afraid to take any pliers to it.
The Anthem and Badger 360 both use a single needle/tip so there are no other sizes you need.
If the cone is in there stiff try soaking it to see if it will come loose. Sometimes they need some persuasion to get out. If you get the new tip then take some pliers and pull the other one out as it will be thrown away anyhow.
Anthem has recently got a fine tip and a fine needle too, as far as I can judge from Badger’s site, so it has now 2 tips it can use - medium and fine.
But most people don’t need fine tips. On the other hand, it doesn’t hurt to have one to train and check if you need it.
