My 1st IPMS competition

This was my 1^st IPMS competition and look what we won.

I say “We” because I think this is a reflection of all the help and advice I have gotten for all of you guys since I started armor.

My 138/1 38M got 3^rd place and the T-55A took 2^nd.

I’m sure this primes your pump for the next contest that comes around. If I may, try to volunteer as a judge. It really aides in the development of your “eye” . I’ve always enjoyed judging at shows.

Roy, try and stop me from volunteering. I did 2 shifts at AMPS East and was lead armor judge at J-Con. With 10 armor categories, I had plenty to judge. Of course not the 2 that I was in.

DJ tell him it is a T-55 that was photographed in a scrap yard in Afghanistan.

Thanks for the info, but might be a lil’ too much for him! LOL!!! He liked that T-55 and wanted to know what type of tank it was. But, I will tell him.

When one of us wins, not like it REALLY matters,[;)] it is truly a reflection of this forum. I for one had no clue a year ago where to even start with my armor builds. Participation here and taking all the advice has served me well.

Marc - It was great to be there with you and congrats on your awards. Judging was fun…long but fun, especially with you.

Way to go! Stunning builds so no surprise with the awards. I’ve always enjoyed the lines of the T-55. Gotta build me one of those.
