Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can get a model preferably between 1/24th - 1/12th scale of a late 50’s early 60’s Mustang GT.

Finding a late '50 Mustang is impossible, they were born in 1964 as a 64½ model. But you’ll find a lot of Mustangs in the market, it’s just about to pic the one you want. 1/24-25 is the biggest source for Mustangs and just about every manufacturer has them in it’s line. Some of them may be disscontinued, but check Ebay or such if you wan’t something that’s not around any more. Do some searching on google and I’m sure you’ll find something useful.

I shop ebay all the time for models and have found it to be a good place to find stuff you can’t find anywhere else.

Try your local hobby shop first. You’ll probably strike out there. Check on line at some of the mail order places and then keep a watch on ebay. If you are looking for a very particular kit, it may take awhile, but it will probably show up sooner or later.

News flash,

See the latest edition of FSM. Two mustang kits are being released by Revell, or have been already.

  1. a 1970 Boss 302 Mustang
  2. a 1965 2+2 Fastback Mustang

These kits should be in your local hobby shop, or will be soon. rangerj

I built both the 64 pace car and started the 66. The pace car was much better. The parts were nicely molded and plastic was a little harder then the 66.

1965 Mustang
Either the coupe or fastback.
289 not the six.
Same as the 64 1/2, except for an alternator instead of the generator.
