Hello Everybody. I am pretty new to the forum, as this is just my second model (but first aircraft). I just got back into the hobby after doing it as a kid and it has been a lot of fun. So here are some pictures of my latest project. I do have to apologize for posting pictures of such a popular aircraft. I’m sure you see quite a few P51D mustangs. Even though this was just my second model, I was rather amitious. I added an Aires resin cockpit and the finish is Alclad aluminum. I applied an oil wash and final weathering with pastels. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I never get sick of looking at Mustangs. Nice job for your first aircraft. I just recently started working with Alclad II myself. It’s pretty good stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry I forgot to mention the kit and scale. It’s Tamiya 1/48 .
Welcome to the forum… and a nice entry into aircraft too. Never tire of 51’s… i am working on a pair at the moment too. Used the Aries pit in one of them. Very nice detail set. Again… well done.
Very well done for your first plane. You must have retained some skill!

Fade to Black…
There are some (like me) who have built many more than two kits since returning to the hobby and whose results don’t look nearly as nice as yours! Great job with the NMF, and welcome to our forum[#welcome]!
