Mrs Djmodels first ever model... Pics!

This is Eduard’s 1/72 Fokker Dr.1, and this model represent the aircraft flown by Lt Josef Jacobs of Jasta 7, credited with 47 victories.

It’s one of Eduard ‘Profipack’ kits but Mrs Djmodels (Burnettie) used only a few selected items out of the PE set and decided against the proposed color schemes, going instead for ‘home made’ decals and this rather attractive livery!

Her model is now in the family’s display cabinet and Mrs is indeed very proud of her very first completed model (more coming soon!)…

Hope you people like her first efforts!

Domi

GROOVY! Looks way-cool, especially a first effort!

Give the missus an atta-b…er…gal! Really nice…

Fade to Black…

Nice little build there. Cute little guy…when he gets older, will he get bigger?[;)]

Looks real good and I like the display base. Nice job there Mrs DJ

Whats next?

Mike

Great looking finished product Burnettie. We look forward to more of your models.

Oustanding Work! give her a dinner out for her great work! Looking forward to seeing more. Man, I’m getting jealous over all these guys who’s wives are trying their hobby! My wife can’t even stand looking at my stuff, much less trying to build it! :frowning:

You lucky guys! And Ladies, keep it up!

Hey MRS DJ;
Great job only if I could Sweet Talk My Wife to try it out maybe she’ll enjoy the fruits of her labors(Not counting the lil ones she had to carry)

That kites a beauty! WWI planes are hard and she has done that little plane justice.[8D]

Fantastic! That is great that you two can share this hobby. looking forward to seeing more from Mrs.dj. Bob

Wonderful Job!!! Hope to see many more!
Chris

I wish my 1st model looked that good![:D]

Great job ! Aligning 3 wings on a 1/72 scale a/c is an accomplishment at any stage of modeling experience. The fact that its a first makes it even more impressive. Looks like the start of a great modeling “career.”

Attagirl indeed!
You’ll have to buy bigger shirts now because you’ve obviously busted your bib with well deserved pride!
Bruce

Boy DJ. After seeing yours and my wives first build maybe it could be a good thing more ladies don’t get into the hobby, they would do nothing but show us guys up. She did a great job on it.

Very nice Burnettie!!! I couldn’t even begin to build somthing that small. It’s be a pile of rubble!!

Ok, time for you to get a user id and make your own posts so Domi doesn’t try to take credit for your work ! [;)] [:D]

Keep up the good work!

Eric

Very nice. Much appreciated Mrs. dj… can’t wait to see more.

Murray

WOW your good lady’s first kit and she is already better at this than me!!!. well done Burnetti, it looks like Domi will have some serious competition real soon LoL keep up the good work. Greg

Great job. Please pass along my congratulations to your better half for her efforts. - Ed

well boys, it is starting to look like all the fine motor skills are in the other half of the species!!
[:)][:D]

very nice job Mrs. DJ !

great subject, but i would not touch that scale w/ my fumble fingers!
i thought the 1/32 and 1/28 bipes in my closet looked kinda small!

welcome to our family, Burnettie!
hope to see more of your work.

ed

Excellent, Bernettie!
I’m amazed at how tiny 1/72 WWI aircraft are. I’ve got a 1/48 SPAD VIII, and it’s tiny!! I can’t imagine trying one in 1/72…

Great job, Mrs. Domi! A very impressive build, and one to be proud of! Seems Dominique already is proud…
