I know this should be under the Techniques forum and I did place it there but many of you may find this of interest here as well. Todays update at http://www.SwannysModels.com is a tutorial on the uses of Mr. Surfacer.

Thanks for the information. That is pretty good stuff.

Good info. The biggest problem is finding the stuff. Great Models seems to be one of the few sources in the US. According to the owner of the LHS, the problem is the labeling. It doesn’t conform to US Regulations regarding labeling of potentially toxic or harmful substances. Most US distributors will not handle it because of fear of liability lawsuits when some idiot decides to use it as an eye wash or whatever.
Regards, Rick
You can use this as an eye wash!!! [;)]
Now some idiot really will try that, doh!
Thanks for the info!
Yeah, thanks for the useful info!

Thanks Swanny, filling seams has always been a trouble for me. [banghead] I will be trying that stuff soon.
Cheers,
Eric
Very nice, Swanny. Thanks for the info; I’m gonna get my hands on that stuff as soon as I can!
Okay, I tried the eye wash thing… Personally, I’d stick to the 1200 as the 500 is too thick. I don’t know what the big deal is, I dt’on hvea ayn drain bramage.[D)]
Thanks for sharing Swanny, your site is really great.
Speaking of silly labes, I´ve got a tyny tiny one on my bike tires that sais something like “wet surface will increase stopping distance”. Well I guess there´s some idiot out there that couldn´t figure that one out…
Thanks for the heads up on a great all around product.
