I recently got a jar of 500 mr surfacer to fill jionts between wings and fuslages.Can someone tell me how to use it.I think I read somewhere you smooth it with your finger dipped in lacquir thinner.Thanks
I suppose you could use lacquer thinner and your finger but I’d recommend using a cotton swab dipped in 91% isopropyl alcohol. I do this regularly with Mr Surfacer and Mr Dissolved Putty. The problem with the lacquer thinner is that it can eat into the plastic or mar it up. The alcohol won’t.
Plus, you can get right up into the joints with a cotton swab where you can’t with your finger.
lol, plus lacquer thinner isn’t the friendliest to your skin. But if you use Gunze’s lacquer thinner it won’t harm the plastic.
