Mr Mark Decal Solution; added question about setter

I picked up a decal solution called Mr Mark Softer and its brother Setter in a LHS here in Germany a couple of weeks ago. I finally used it to settle down the turret markings on a PzI. The decals have to go over the side vents on the turret. Believe it or not, they settled down with no bubbles or silvering.
Ive used micro sol before, but never got results like this.
Has anybody used this before? Is it even available in the States?
I may have to stock up before I come back.[?]

I’m in Australia and it has been available for years. You need to find a Gunze stockist to get it. Suggest you do a web search via some of your US hobby suppliers to find out if you can get it.

Yes it is a great product, but unfortunately some decals react with it so always test a spare one before using it. I used it for the complicated degree markings on my Centaur CS Mk IV. The side ports are very complicated with deep valleys and no way the decals would snuggle down without help, and the Tamiya decals were thicker than normal anyway. Mr Marksoftener made it so easy it was laughable.

Great Models carries them both for between $3 and $4.

Do you use the setter also? What does it do? The guy at my LHS spoke very little english and my german is too limited. All I could get from him was that it went on after the decal.
