I always use Tamiya Acrylics with X-20 thinner. A few people I know were singing the praises of lacquer thinner ie Mr Colour Thinner used to thin Tamiya acrylics gives a superb finish as opposed to the gritty/grainy finish that some of us have reported getting when using tamiya paints and tamiya thinner-including me!
I bought 250ml of Mr Colour Thinner to try…
I haven’t used it yet apart from to try out my new AB. It pongs a bit but the paint lays nicely.
What are your thought on using Mr Colour Laquer Thinner with Tamiya Acrylics? I’ve looked into this and some people can’t rate it highly enough where some people can’t stand it. I’m struggling to find anywhere that stocks the big X-20 bottles so I thought this would be a wise investment!
Saying that, It’s not going anywhere near my models if there are any problems with it - hmmmm?
