I don’t know if this is a new kit made by MPC themselves, or a rebox of an old one. If it’s a rebox, beware of the old Airfix kit. I bought one years ago and it’s a real dog. No fit, no detail, no fun. It went into the bin. The other option is Monogram. This kit is probably a whole lot better, although I haven’t built one. I do have the Revell A-6E TRAM. I think these kits share a number of parts (but I could be wrong), and it is quite good. I’ll see if I can find out what’s in the box.

Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.[xx(]
thanks filibert, well there is not intruder/prowler on ebay except for this one, so my options are very limited.
i cant find the monogram/revell kit this is all i can find.
its listed at $9, so that either says the guy just really wants to sell it or you get what you pay for. but for that much, i think i might give it a go…maybe
You can buy the Revell kit from http://www.greatmodels.com I think it is around $25.00
Trust me, you want the Monogram or Revell kit. You’d spend the price difference on filler alone (well almost)[:O].
As far as I know, MPC was the distributor of Airfix so it is more than probable that this one is the Airfix model, but I am not sure.
Like others have said before, it’s the Airfix kit, the sprues are thick and even though I have not yet built mine, it will test your skills. I was given both the Prowler and the Buccaneer 48 kits. My sujestion is go for the Revell AG kit it’s a much better model.
Rob.
I’m no expert but here goes. I have the MPC/Airfix kit, until the Monogram kit arrived it was the only game in town. It lacks detail, especially in the cockpit, and I don’t know about fit. I’m sure the Revellogram kit is more detailed but according to Kinzey’s Detail and scale review it’s got the wrong wings, from there A-6, which is different than the EA-6. They state, IIRC, that the Airfix kit is more accurate. E-mail me off group for more details.
