What kind of background noise do you guys like while building? Depending on my mood, I like music (Pandora) or movies (Netflix), both playing through my TV hooked up to my PC via HDMI. Today is a music day… how about y’all??

Youtube vids, fitting with the theme of the build…ie. wings of the Luftwaffe for german stuff or wings of the red star for VVS stuff. Sometimes the vids are pretty interesting and I find myself staring at the screen instead of building…
Music only. Never any video type stuff. I have a stereo set up at my work area in the garage with an Auxially jack set up. I can attach my tablet or ipod, and have a large music library to choose from. Depending upon my mood or what I am building I will choose a playlist to listen to during that session. Often times it is movie scores, but for a Vietnam build I may have on my 60s or 70s rock, Cold War builds with 80s stuff, etc.
Lol very interesting, guys… I just put on whatever strikes me and never thought of getting into a theme of sorts like you have.
I have a bit of a mix. Most of the time its the TV, often the news channel. But sometimes music or a movie on my player. I just put on what ever take my fancy at the time. At the moment I am half way through all the Star Wars movies.
Music only. Either an Internet feed of a blues radio station or whatever’s on my iPhone
Silence,If anything sports talk radio or a ball game on the radio.
I sometimes watch movies on my computer (right next to my bench) while building and I always do it when sanding roadwheels or doing some other “boring” things. I listen to music most of the time though, mostly AC/DC or CCR…
Pandora radio with 90’s music playing. Never any movies or anything as they prove to be a distraction from building for me.
No tv or computer in the room, but the radio plays Cardinal’s baseball or Vols football on the sports station, and for music, the best station in Memphis, 89.9FM WEVL. Big band on Wednesdays, The Rock House (rockabilly) tonight, and tons of other variety.
If this is on, the bench can wait!! SCar tomorrow, time to beat the old ball coach I hope!

Yes I did, my favorite track with my favorite team playing in the infield. Should be an awesome experience!! Would love to make it there and I can imagine how the team will be in 2 years with 2 full recruiting classes for Butch!

If its a movie its usually a “war” or “army” one (not my terms) eg. couple of sessions ago listened to Tomorrow When the War Began. Usually I listen to music varying from Placebo to Nick Cave to Black Keys to Pagan Rock or Dance. But last few sessions I’ve been listening to the audio book of World War Z (much better book than that fail movie)
Jazz radio station here in Denver, KUVO.
I just have a boom box that I play CDs on. Mostly blues and rock. Although I am particularly fond of putting on Supertramp or Alan Parson’s Project while airbrushing.
Usually movies of some sort, either military or sci-fi, documentaries, or some of Swanny’s videos - good stuff!

Usually an old TV/movie western, scifi, or war on Youtube. I have most of these on DVD but Youtube is more convenient.
