I’m wondering… Do you finish your models with movable main guns ? Some people even glue the turrets in place or, in case of 1/72 aircraft, glue the propellers in place… So I 'd like to know your thoughts about this. Best regards.

I usually position everything where i want it and glue it in place.
For things like turrets, I’ll usually glue it position if I want it at a specific angle, otherwise I’ll keep it ‘screwed’ on so it can transport easily and you can change the dirrection of the main gun.
Same here. I find the look I’m going for and secure it.
I always leave my turrets movable. Main guns always depends on the model. Most of the time leaving it mobile makes it easier for painting. Sometimes they don’t stay in position so you have to glue the gun.
I’ve yet to glue a turret in place but I haven’t built a lot of armor yet and only tackled a very basic little dio. I started gluing wheels pretty quickly though.
Thanks for your replies. I have a Pz. IV F2… for some reanon, the main gun is a little loose and it’s default position is pointing downwards… I think I’ll glue it at 0º elevation. Best regards.

If you are putting your tank in a static position i would glue it at zero elevation, however if it is on the move or prowl, perhaps a slight upwards angle(+ 5 degrees) would be better.
I Always leave the turret operable. There have been instances that I glue the gun in place, so it can’t sag.
