Morser Karl question...

I have the Trumpeter Morser Kark initial version…Anyone know if it has rubber tired road wheels and return rollers? Can’t find any good ref’s. Appreciate any help…

Sort them by country, and look under Germany ; Mortars

It does not. It did not travel on its own suspension often enough to justify 128 tires for all of the wheels and return rollers, and wasn’t meant for traversing really rough ground so a cushy suspension wasn’t needed.

This photo loks like it has rubber tired return rollers, but the black looks more like paint.

The prototype chassis of the Gerat 40 had eight road wheels per side with external swing arms. It had rubber-rimmed road wheels and return rollers. The 6 production models had 11 road wheels per side, (steel-rimmed) and also had rubber-rimmed return rollers.

The photo above is of “Adam”, one of the 6 production version Gerat 40/41, with the steel-rimmed wheels and 60cm barrel.
