More of my friends armor M-109 & Jagdpanther

I listed some six months ago some of my friends “Robert Brown” armor. Well here’s some more pieces.

All of these were painted with Testors MMII enamels through a Paasche “V”

The first piece is Tamiya’s Jagdpanther late version, w/Tamiya’s aftermarket L-L tracks.

The second piece is Italeri’s M-109 A6 Pallidin

The third piece is Italeri’s M-109 155 SPH of the 8th Bn., 6th Arty. of the 1st Inf. div. in support of ground troops Big Red 1. in FSB Oklahoma Nov.1969. Also the ACAV shields came from an Academy M-113 kit.

Robert Brown lives in Wichita, Ks. If any of you build Land Darts, ahh I mean jets he owns and makes “SEAMLESS SUCKERS”.

Looks like your friend has some talent. They are all very nice looking builds. I love the camo on the Jagdpanther but wonder what the black blobs were on the front n/s? Did he spill something on it?

…Guy

great looking buils escipallly thost 2 m109s

[#ditto]I agree about the quality of the builds–very nicely done! But the weird spots on the Jagdkitty really puzzles me too…[%-)]

Splattered mud?

David

All greatbuilds.

He should say it’s splttered motor oil… looks great as that. Maybe if just ran over and oil drum.[:-^]

Doc - I won’t comment on the Jagdpanter except to say nice build. there are enough Germaholics on this forum, I’m sure they will comment.

M109A6 - Second picture, as I remember there is one regular headlight and one colored headlight (as I remember red) but I have to check my books. Third and fourth photo - need antennas. You have the mounts but no masts. I like to use brass rod.

M109 - Fourth Picture - The five post in the rack on the top of the turret are aiming posts. From that era they would have been painted either red and white or black and green. Either pattern like candy canes. The hatches on top need some graphite on the hinges and handles

Otherwise the look great. Just a couple of details to put a little more on. I’m sure my buddy Heavy will stop by and leave a few more. But overall looks good.

Rounds Complete!!

The models all look great. Of course I especially like the M109s. To add to Redleg’s comments: The tail lights look off to me. Only the upper left oval should be red. The others should be black slits (see below). For the headlights on the Paladin and on the M109, on the right side when looking at it, they should be gloss black. They are IR lights and are a very dark red, they look black. Both light sets should be painted the same, they are the same unit that is used on both sides. Also, on the Paladin, the spades should be up. They are only down when it is backed up and mated to the ammo carrier, which is not often. Lastly, the fuel can on the right side, forward, is on backwards. The straps should be out like the one next to it. Great job overall. His weathering and painting are awesome.

M109’s have the same light set-up as this WWII M20.

The guy sure can get a sweet finish!

No, sir… Those are the ramming staff sections. The aiming posts would be in the narrow case next to the TC hatch.
